What is N.A.E.T.® ?
Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Techniques (N.A.E.T.) is a non-invasive, drug-free, holistic approach to eliminating allergies and allergy-related disorders. Because it is non-invasive and drug-free, it is suitable for people of all ages, including children and the elderly. It is named after Dr. Devi S. Nambudripad (D.C., L.Ac., M.D., Ph.D.), who discovered it as she was searching for ways to cope with her own crippling allergies. N.A.E.T.® practitioners define “allergy” quite broadly as “a condition of unusual sensitivity of one individual towards one or more substances which may be harmless or even beneficial to a majority of other individuals.” Categories of allergens treated through N.A.E.T.® include: inhalants, ingestants, contactants, injectants, infectants, physical agents (like cold, dryness, humidity), genetic factors, molds and fungi and emotional factors.
An allergen is viewed by the allergic person’s brain as a threat to the body’s well-being. The brain responds by initiating a series of energetic disturbances in the weakest parts of the body; these energetic disturbances cause physical and chemical reactions that disrupt the body’s ability to function normally. Examples of common allergy-related health problems that may be treated through N.A.E.T.®:
- · Crohn’s and Celiac’s Disease
- · Autism
- · Migraines and Vertigo
- · Back-Pain or Pain in Muscle or Joints
- · Eczema, Psoriasis, Acne and Other Skin Disorders
- · Asthma
- · Fibromyalgia
- · Sinusitis due to exposure to Mold, Dust, Fungus, Pollen, or Environmental Toxins
- · Allergic Reactions to Pets
- · Emotional Imbalances, such as Anxiety, Irritability, Depression
- · Addiction to Food, Caffeine, Alcohol, Drugs, and Cigarettes
- · Fatigue and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
- · ADD/ADHD
- · Allergic Reactions to Bee Stings and Insect Bites
- · And Many Others…
How Does N.A.E.T® Work?
N.A.E.T.® is a synthesis of various Eastern and Western medical disciplines, including acupuncture, kinesiology and nutrition. While introducing the patient to a sample of a potential allergen, the practitioner uses Muscle Response Testing (MRT) based on the principles of Kinesiology to determine whether the allergen-sample is affecting the body negatively. If the patient is, in fact, sensitive to the allergen, they will be asked to continue holding the sample of the allergen while the practitioner stimulates with gentle pressure specific points parallel to the patient’s spine. These points correlate directly to the central and peripheral nervous systems, as well as major acupressure meridians. During this process, a chemical change takes place in the autonomic nervous system as the spinal stimulation reprograms the brain and the nervous system to interpret the substance the patient is holding as unharmful. Patients are instructed to avoid all contact with the allergen for a minimum of 25 hours, while the new energetic signal moves through each of the body’s energetic meridian pathways. Allergens are treated and cleared one at a time, and, in most cases, one session is all that is required to eliminate sensitivity to an allergen.
